What is impressive is the different cultures represented.
The game plays out in Acts and in each act the ultimate goal is to get to the end and slay the big bad boss. They summoned monsters to terrorize the world as they prepared for the release of the Titans. Before the events of the base game, a trio of Telkines broke the communication conduit linking Olympus with the mortal world. Some time ago there was a war between the Olympian Gods and Titans and the latter was eventually imprisoned. Furthermore, as of this review, Anniversary received two expansions, Ragnarok and Atlantis. The Anniversary Edition was also ported to the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Switch in 2018. The following year, an expansion titled Immortal Throne was released, and in 2016, Titan Quest Anniversary Edition, which includes the base game, expansion, and support for modern systems was released.

Developed by Iron Lore Entertainment and published by THQ, Titan Quest was released for PC in June, 2006. But then I read that the Titan Quest engine is the foundation for it so I decided to play that first. I recently started looking into some action RPGs to play and chose Grim Dawn. I wanted to play it before the Anniversary Edition released but just never got around to it. Keep an eye on WindowsCentral.I put off playing Titan Quest for a while. While Titan Quest: Anniversary Edition for PC is the best way to play the game, the Xbox One version isn't that far behind. This greatly expands gameplay options and provides additional challenges for players. At $29.99, Titan Quest on consoles also contains the Immortal Throne expansion. You get used to the finicky character movement eventually as you slay one mystical beast after another. Overall, Titan Quest on Xbox One is a great game and represents great value. You eventually get used to it but it's not an ideal experience at all. What should've been a joyous return to a beloved game becomes a jarring experience due to this. There are some other bugs in there like allies and enemies getting caught behind objects rather often.

The developer needs to issue a patch to address the clunky controls as soon as possible. You'll definitely be able to find at least a couple of items you like to use regularly. Even though a lot of the gear is similar, there are still some noteworthy items in there for each class. While other games lock you into a particular playstyle, the tremendous class variety gives you new options here. This is mostly accomplished through the two dozen or so classes and a thousand unique items. Titan Quest features many ways to create your ultimate champion. Other than that, it definitely looks vastly superior to the original due to the reworked textures and water. Unfortunately, the lighting still feels subpar and the main character probably needs a higher polygon count. The environment looks gorgeous and there are a number of camera positions to help you see more of the world at any given time. From what we can tell, it doesn't feature any Xbox One X enhancements.
The game looks crisp and doesn't appear to suffer from too many technical hiccups when it comes to performance.
